Dr. CarlosTorrebiarte
Dr. Carlos Torrebiarte earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University Fransisco Marroguin in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He furthered his education and went on to recieve a two year certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry and a two year TMJ certificate at Eastman Dental Center at the University of Rochester, New York. While doing his residency, he found his love for orthodontics and was fortunate to complete his two year Orthodontics training at the University of Rochester in New York.
Dr. Torrebiarte came to New Mexico in 1998 where he practiced for two years in a private office in Santa Fe. In 2000, he moved to Albuquerque where he practiced at Community Dental Services, a non-profit Dental Clinic that provides dental care for low income and handicapped children. Dr. T opened Cottonwood Orthodontics in 2006 and has loved practicing on Albuquerque's West Side. He loves the opportunity to be working with the dental professionals and helping children and adults with all of their orthodontic needs.
A native of Guatemala, Dr. Torrebiarte loves New Mexico because it reminds him so much of his own traditions and cultures from home. He is happily married to Sarah and they have three children. When he is not working, he enjoys outdoor activities and attends many musical concerts.
Dr. Torrebiarte prides himself in spending extra time explaining things before treatment begins and he is always available to answer any questions his patients have. His priority is to keep an open line of communication between himself, the patient, and the patient's primary dentist. Dr. T is honored to give each patient great pride in themselves and their smile.
